Tadashi Moriyama is a multi-media artist, who makes painting, animation and sculptures. Growing up in Japan, he learned Japanese sumi ink calligraphy and Soto Zen meditation, which he recalls his foundation of his art making.

 

Moriyama moved to US in 2001 and studied art at Tyler School of Art (BA) and University of Pennsylvania (MFA). He lived in Philadelphia, New York and Los Angeles before moving to England, UK in 2021. 

 

Moriyama draws inspiration from Science Fiction and Sacred Geometry found in nature and cities, as well as medieval paintings and philosophies from around the world. He makes artworks and celebrates being the citizen of the earth.
